Classification in Canada

    Movie ratings provide parents with advance information about the content of movies to help them determine what’s appropriate for their children.

    Under Canadian law, motion picture classification is a matter falling under provincial jurisdiction. Accordingly, motion picture classification takes place at the provincial level.

    The Motion Picture Association – Canada does not classify motion pictures in Canada.
